15th June 2019

A very quiet period locally with minimal activitiy reported. A Spotted Redshank failed to settle at the Dams this afternoon, and otherwise, sea passage has consisted of a trickle of Manx Shearwaters (single figures most days, with 22 on 10th), Common Scoters (low double figures most days, with a peak of 36 this morning), the odd Bonxie (10th and 13th), single figures of Eiders most days (with a few in the bay and off the Brigg), and a Barnacle Goose north on 10th.

Green Sandpiper, Dams (Mark Pearson)

The land has been even quieter, with a Hobby at the Gap on 9th, the usual Little Ringed Plover and Little Egret reports from the Dams, the two Grasshoper Warblers at the Tip, and Green Sandpipers reported from the Dams and Carr Naze Pond.
