A generally low-key few days with a largely south-westerly airflow encouraged some notable visible migration at least, with the observations at the Gap this morning including a Lapland Bunting and 30 Whooper Swans south and a Velvet Scoter offshore. A further eight Whoopers were in the bay this afternoon before leaving south-east, and a Sandwich Tern was fishing offshore. A Little Gull went south at the Gap yesterday (24th), while strong vismig there on 23rd included 10 Whooper Swans, 81 Siskins, two Crossbills and a Lapland Bunting; eight Whooper Swans went south over the Country Park  and two Lapland Buntings flew south off the Brigg on the same day.
