Blustery north-easterlies (swinging north) and cooler, variable conditions today brought a small scattering of new arrivals, exclusively concerning species well covered over previous days. After at least four arrived yesterday, the main story involved another nine Short-eared Owls arriving in off the sea this morning, plus a Long-eared Owl and an additional unidentified Asio sp (JS). Three Fieldfares were new in the hedges, where 60 Redwings and 40 Song Thrushes were well scattered. Otherwise, numbers of migrants were as you were.
