No prizes for guessing which species took top billing, with record numbers arriving in the UK (particularly in the Northern Isles) over recent days – we hosted three more Yellow-browed Warblers today, with two trapped and ringed in top Scrub (LM, CR) and another at Hunmanby Gap (NCt), where the first Redwing of the season was also reported. Otherwise it was generally quiet in settled conditions, with similarly small numbers of common passerines to previous days.
