Mammal trapping at the Dams tomorrow – see here  for details

No reports of note so far today, but yesterday saw a notable movement of Swifts through the area, with a minimum of 600 moving roughly south (the majority between 0900 & 1045), as well as a Cuckoo south over Carr Naze, small numbers of Siskins on the move (including nine which dropped brielfy into Arndale), and at least three Painted Ladies on the coastal strip.

After a pair were observed copulating some weeks ago, just-fledged Rock Pipits on the Brigg confirm a successful breeding presence this year, while a colour-ringed Shag (white ZSJ) on the Brigg is likely from the Firth of Forth (details to follow).
