23rd June 2015

A busier day today after what can best be described as a very quiet week locally. A Pomarine Skua went south mid afternoon (MJP, J&TGD) along with 42 Manx Shearwaters, while single Bar-tailed Godwits went north both this morning and this afternoon (full counts from this a.m. to be added later). Otherwise the only recent report of note concerned a Willow Tit in Reighton Woods on 18th (NCt), a barely annual species in the area.
