Strong winds from the south-west and showers during the day produced a scattering of new arrivals. Hobbies were at East Lea first thing (MJP) and this eve (DL), and also at Hunmanby Gap this eve (NCt), a drake Goosander was at the Dams and then East Lea this morning, with a White Wagtail at the latter site this morning and several Yellow Wagtails and Wheatears there this evening. A Grey Partridge was flushed from under the Dams boardwalk early on, a Sedge Warbler was in Long Hedge (an overdue first for the year), Common Sandpipers were at the Dams and East Lea, and a Green Sandpiper was at the Tip (with perhaps the same bird at East Lea later).
A late report involved a Black Redstart on the Brigg yesterday (JS).
