26th February 2015

The pre-spring lull continues, although a few records of interest over the sea have included a Blue Fulmar north on 25th, five Velvet Scoters and a Snow Bunting north on 22nd (JS), and a Black-throated Diver, initially in the bay and then north on 21st (NCt, KC, JS, KW).  Odd Great Northern Divers are still being recorded in the bay, while signs of life at the Dams include a small increase in wildfowl which included two drake Pochard, with Mute Swans and Little Grebes having both just returned.
