10th February 2015

A largely quiet week in the area, with the main highlight being a brief Black Guillemot off the Brigg late morning of 7th (BP et al), two Little Auks and a Velvet Scoter went south on 5th, and good numbers of Northern Herring Gulls heading north offshore.

In the bay, at least two Great Northern Divers, up to 30 Red-throated Divers, 20 Great Crested Grebes, 30 Wigeon, 10 Common Scoters and several Eiders are intermittently present, while the Dams & East Lea have been quiet but for the usuals (and four Redwing this morning). Two Grey Wagtails continue to winter in the town.
