So far, so good: these pictures say it all, the pain on the faces, the inappropriate clothing and dubious digging techniques. No matter, the liner is in place and there, looming in the background, is 40 tons of gravel. The big toys will be on site soon, the island will be covered and the volunteers will retreat to the hide….and wait.
