28th September 2014

A warm and mostly sunny day with a generally light southerly wind saw a Balearic Shearwater off Hunmanby Gap (NCt, KC), and a Pomarine Skua off the Brigg. Otherwise, Pink-footed Geese numbered at least 97 for the day, the Top Fields feeding flocks include 270 Goldfinches, 120 Linnets, 40 Skylarks and five Wheatears, and Red-throated Diver numbers are increasing in the bay (with 20 present and 25 past today).
