An otherwise quiet day with an unpromising south-westerly breeze produced a surprise quality find in the shape of a male Red-breasted Flycatcher, found feeding in clifftop scrub to the east of the Blue Dolphin holiday camp (NCt, AZ, MB). A Velvet scoter was the best of the morning seawatch and there’s been a general clear-out of passerine migrants in the northern area.
