Slightly improved movements over the sea today included a single Sooty Shearwater, 36 Manx Shearwaters south and six north, 409 Fulmars and a single Arctic Skua south. A single Ruff, a Black-tailed Godwit and two Little Egrets remained at the Dams, while a Greenshank and a Green Sandpiper overflew Hunmanby Gap.

Yesterday’s (15th) returns featured 434 Fulmar, 237 Gannet and 45 Common Scoter moving north, with three Whimbrel and a Greenshank west over Hunmanby Gap.

Sightings from the 14th included another Wheatwear on Carr Naze, two Greenshank, a Green Sandpiper and a Little Egret at the Tip, and another Greenshank on the Brigg.
