Today’s highlight was a late Osprey which came in off the sea over the bay and then the town before continuing west.
Otherwise little to report with settled high pressure dominating, the best of the last few days being the typical seasonal movements of Common Scoters (with e.g. over 250 this morning and 602 on 22nd), a Minke Whale and a Dark-bellied Brent Goose in heavy moult on 20th, odd Arctic and Great Skuas, and small numbers of e.g. Manx Shearwaters, Curlews and Black-headed Gulls on the move.
