It’s getting slowly but surely busier for passerine migrants, with todays highlights being a Sand Martin, a Brambling (narrowly surviving a Sparrowhawk attack on Short Hedge), a Scandinavian Rock Pipit (probably yesterday’s bird), at least 18 Chiffchaffs, two continental-type Robins and a scattering of Goldcrests.

A female Merlin stopped by to chase Snow Buntings and Linnets in the top fields, where an immature Peregrine (i.e. not a local breeder) headed south. The adult Med Gull was seen again the bay.
