24th January 2014

The Grey Phalarope was off the Brigg briefly late morning and a Great Northern Diver was in the bay. Yesterday’s highlights included a Lapland Bunting on Carr Naze, the year’s first Brambling in a garden at Hunmanby Gap and the return of the Phalarope (after an absence of several days) to the Brigg area, while the intermittently present Long-tailed Duck and a Little Gull were recorded on 22nd.

Up to 100 Lapwings are west of the Dams, where other top counts in recent days include 22 Curlew, 12 Gadwall and 85 Teal.
