A new Yellow-browed Warbler was with a tit flock in Church Ravine today (MJP et al). Otherwise a small arrival of migrants was evident, with c25 Bramblings, 40 Chaffinches, 35 Song Thrushes, 30 Robins and five Redwings in the coastal cover. Another Little Stint was at the Dams in a good year for this species, and two Curlew Sandpipers (presumably the birds seen regularly over the last ten days) also dropped in.

2nd Oct – A Snow Bunting was on Carr Naze, c30 Song Thrushes and 15 Blackbirds were freshly arived, 19 Bramblings were in Church Ravine and two Goosander flew west over the town.
