Movements on the sea are slowly improving, with numbers of e.g. Sandwich Terns, Manx Shearwaters, Common Scoters and Curlews picking up.
Things are getting on with procreation over at East Lea, nothing rare, but five Gadwall behaving like a family is intriguing and the Moorhens love the surf-board! The Dams is never boring, though an interest in botany will enhance any visit: the star at present is Pink Water Speedwell, quite scarce, first showed last year and best seen from the East Pool hide.
