At last a few clouds and spots of rain today, which instantly brought two Wood Sandpipers and a Bar-tailed Godwit to East Lea. Warbler and hirundine numbers remain high and a Whimbrel was on the Brigg.

Other recent reports include: a Common Crane south over the bay on 4th, three Greenland Wheatears on Carr Naze on 3rd, an Osprey through on 7th, a small harrier sp. on 6th, several Marsh Harriers, White Wagtails, Garden Warblers, Tree Pipits and Common Buzzards over the last week, and good numbers of Yellow Wagtails and all the regular warblers.
