A remarkable record on a day with very promising conditions – A male Black-headed Wagtail was found at the Tip but unfortunately stayed for several minutes only and couldn’t be refound this afternoon (IR, IG, CS). A maleĀ Red-backed Shrike, although our overdue first for the spring, played second fiddle at the same site (T&JD et al), while two Jays and a sprinkling of warblers were also fresh in.
