Welcome to the website of Filey Bird Observatory & Group (FBOG). Our aims include the recording and studying Filey’s birds, and protecting and enhancing local habitats for wildlife (including ownership and management of several nature reserves).

Our work is entirely voluntary and reliant on our membership and their generosity. Members receive a range of benefits, as well as regular newsletters, the annual report, and the satisfaction of helping the study and protection of local wildlife. Join here…

Reporting your sightings (of birds and other taxa) helps us improve our overall knowledge of Filey’s wildlife, and there’s several simple ways of doing so - submit your records here, or join the Filey Nature Yahoo group to post your sightings and photos, get advice, and see what else is around….

FBOG would like to thank Yorkshire Coast Nature, sponsors of the Filey Bird Report 2013
